Depression, Anxiety, ptsd, ocd
If you ask someone to name two common mental health problems, chances are they will think of anxiety and depression. While depression and anxiety are two different medical conditions, their symptoms, causes, and treatments can often overlap.
PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder) is a mental health problem that some people develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event like combat a natural disaster, a car accident, or sexual assault.
OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)is a potentially disabling illness that traps people in endless cycles of repetitive thoughts and behaviors.

sleep related disorders
REM sleep behavior Disorder: People who suffer from REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) act out their dreams. They physically move limbs or even get up and engage in activities associated with waking.
Non-24 sleep wake disorder: This is a disorder that affects the normal 24-hour synchronization of circadian rhythms (ex. shift workers)
Excessive sleepiness: Excessive sleepiness is the leading complaint of patients who visit sleep clinics. People who have excessive sleepiness feel drowsy and sluggish most days, and these symptoms often interfere with work, school, activities, or relationships.
weight problems
Although weight gain is commonly associated with depression, weight loss can also be a problem. Treating depression often takes a multipronged approach that may include talk therapy and medication, as well as exercise, a healthy diet, and other lifestyle measures.
chronic pain
Chronic pain can have real effects on your mental health. Chronic pain can interfere with your daily life -keeping you from doing things you want and need to do. It can take a toll on your self-esteem and make you feel angry, depressed, anxious, and frustrated.

While different performers place different demands on the brain overall, Neurofeedback improves a person's ability to stay on task while maintaining a high level of brain function. Performers (athletes, musicians, students) place heavy demands on the brain to focus while simultaneously ignoring distracting stimuli.
Arguably one of the most difficult aspects of being a performer is the ability to perform without being influenced by emotional triggers. Anxiety over a big upcoming event or the pressure to perform to high standards can negatively influence how one performs. Neurofeedback stabilizes mood and emotional perception, including the perception and ability to cope with stress. This decreases anxiety overall - making moments of high demand easier to manage emotionally. Neurofeedback helps decrease distractibility caused by these emotions so an athlete can perform optimally.
