Pain is the most common symptom for which patients seek medical attention.

Dr. Herring knows that each individual’s pain perception can vary even in response to identical stimulus. Therefore, pain management can be simple or complex, depending on the history, intensity, duration of the pain and its perception.

Dr. Herring is board-certified in pain management. Her practice is limited to medical management of chronic pain. Her aim is to provide the patient with medication and coping strategies to allow each patient to achieve the most-fulfilling lifestyle possible given his/her pain and/or disability.

Other pain modalities

Dr. Herring does not do interventional pain management (injections), but will make appropriate referrals for that treatment. She can also make referrals for alternative medicine technique such as acupuncture.
